LeGallais Memorial would close and K-6 students would attend St. James Elementary and Grades 7-12 students would attend St. James Regional High.
- Option 2
LeGallais Memorial would close with K-9 students to attend Grandy's River Collegiate, beginning September 2018. Senior high students attending St. James Regional High in 2018-2019 would remain until graduation in 2021.
Commencing in the 2019-2020 school year, all senior high students of LeGallais Memorial catchment would attend Grandy's River Collegiate.
Should the Board decide to proceed with the process to review the St. James Regional High School system a notice of motion will be made at the public meeting of the Board of Trustees scheduled for November 25, 2017 in St. John's. If a notice of motion is made a school community meeting will be scheduled for January 2018 and a further opportunity for the school community to submit online feedback will be provided. A vote on the notice of motion would occur at the February 3, 2018 meeting of the Board of Trustees.
All members of the school communities are encouraged to provide their feedback to the Board of Trustees to help inform the process.
