Strategic Plan Consultation Survey
In accordance with the Transparency and Accountability Act, the Newfoundland and Labrador English School Board is required to develop and implement a three-year strategic plan. The current strategic plan will end in June 2017 and the Board is required to have a new plan in place for September 2017- June 2020.

The Board plans to build on work to date in the areas of Student Success, Safe and Caring Schools, and Organizational Effectiveness, with a combination of new and ongoing initiatives designed to support teaching and learning.

Consultations related to the new strategic plan have now begun. Regional focus groups are being held with administrators and school councils, as in the past. In addition, individual school-based focus groups/survey sessions are being conducted with school councils, teachers, support staff and students (Grades 7-12).

In an effort to encourage as much input as possible from parents/guardians, stakeholder groups and the public, the online survey below focuses on four strategic planning areas of concentration in 2017-2020:

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Enhanced Curricular Supports
  • Safe and Caring Schools
