JOB TEXT: | Full time term position for Itinerant Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Duties to commence September 5, 2023 to June 21, 2023 or incumbent returns This position will serve Gander and surrounding area. The itinerant teacher provides both direct instruction and consultation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (birth to high school graduation) and works collaboratively with the school based or early childhood teams. This position requires both daily travel and the ability to work in a variety of settings. This position reports to the Provincial Director of Programs for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Staff will engage a blended service delivery model encompassing both direct service and virtual services as required. Requirements
Offer of employment is conditional upon the completion of all applicable background checks and confirmation of credentials, the results of which must be satisfactory to NLESD. Salary: In accordance with the NLTA Agreement. Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree in Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or equivalent. Applicants without the required qualifications may be considered in accordance with Clause 37.01 (d) of the provincial collective agreement.
